Follow our steps below to create your own JustGiving page.

Setting up a fundraising page will give you the opportunity to share your event, give your supporters an easy way to donate, and share updates and news about your fundraising activity.

How to set up a fundraising page

Set up your page as soon as possible to make sure you event raises as much money as possible.

  1. Add a photo: Adding photos to your page increases donations each time you post.
  2. Set a target: Setting a target is a great way of motivating yourself, and encouraging your supporters. Showing them that they are getting you closer to your goal may just encourage them to give that little bit more. Plus, there’s no denying how satisfying it is when you see it tip that 100% mark!
  3. Personalise your page: Tell people what your motivations are for doing your challenge and what being a part of Team Trussell means to you. Make your fundraising personal. Explain why you’re doing it! Friends and family won’t know how to support you if you don’t tell them, so don’t be shy. Let them know the ways in which they can sponsor you, from online to text giving, to traditional sponsorship.
  4. Share your page on social media: Make sure you tell everyone about your fundraising events and keep them updated. Share your page on pay day or on your birthday to encourage sponsorship!
  5. Sending a text, WhatsApp or message on Messenger: Contacting friends and family is also a great way to encourage people to support you.
  6. Include any money you’ve raised offline: Add your cash and cheque donations to your page so everyone can see how well you’re doing. For cash or cheque donations simply download our handy sponsorship form.
  7. Email: Lots of your family, friends and colleagues may not be on social media but would like to hear what you are doing.
  8. Email signature: Add your fundraising page to your email signature to let your workmates know about your challenge. Download email signature.

  10. Local media: Local newspapers, radio stations and even regional TV stations may cover your fundraising efforts.
